Seminars

The acclaimed Seminar Series at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show offers more talent, more topics and more tips than any other garden show in the world.  With more than 120 presentations on 4 stages, including our new Sprouts Stage for elementary school age children, you are sure to find seminars that will help solve your landscaping problems and inspire new garden design creativity.

Our seminars will take you to the tropics, the Mediterranean and around the Northwest to show you the best plants for your garden.  You can learn the basic rules of landscape design – and how to break them to create a garden just right for your family.  We’ve got seminars on perennials, shrubs and trees, vines galore, containers, rock and stone, cool garden gear, Ikebana, drought tolerance, wildlife habitats, outdoor entertaining and much, much more.  If you want to learn how to garden organically many seminars have a strong emphasis on “green” gardening.

The visuals in the Rainier and Hood Rooms are stunning and the practical tips from the Monrovia Stage speakers can’t be beat.  Our new Sprouts Stage will offer delightful presentations that introduce children to the excitement of gardening and the importance of plants to our world.  Be sure to bring the whole family for these entertaining seminars just for kids.

The popular seminar passes allow you to pick up a pass two hours before seminars in the Rainier and Hood Rooms, then continue to stroll the gardens or shop over 350 exhibits before the presentation begins.  So long as you are in your seat 10 minutes before the start of the seminar, every pass holder is guaranteed a seat.  Doors open 20 minutes before each seminar begins.

So whether you are a new gardener in need of essential and sensible advice, or you are a veteran of many seasons interested in the latest horticultural trends, you are sure to find scores of seminars that will entertain, educate and enlighten.  Don’t miss a single day!
