Northwest Flower & Garden Show

Michael Lee

Mike Lee was a landscape architect in Seattle when he decided to open a wholesale nursery.  But that vision changed, and since 1975 he has been the owner of Colvos Creek Nursery on Vashon Island, which specializes in rare and unusual plants, as well as uncommon Northwest natives. His work was featured in the Arboretum Foundation Bulletin in Spring, 2005, and his nursery was featured by the American Horticultural Society in American Gardener in July 1999.  His articles have appeared in Northwest Garden News, the Arboretum Foundation Bulletin and Pacific Horticulture.  He illustrated the book North American Landscape Trees (Ten Speed Press, 1996) and has published a series of posters on native trees.  Website:  www.colvoscreeknursery.com.
