Melinda Myers
Melinda Myers is a Horticultural Instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College. She received a Bachelor’s degree in horticulture at Ohio State University, and her master’s degree in horticulture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a Certified Arborist and started the Master Gardener program in Milwaukee. She is the host of “Great Lakes Gardener” on public television and also hosts the “Plant Doctor Radio Show” on WTMJ Radio. In addition, she writes a bi-monthly column for the Milwaukee Journal and has been a contributing editor for Birds and Blooms Magazine since 1996. She has written many books, among them Birds and Blooms’ Ultimate Gardening Guide (Reiman Publishing Group, 2002) and her latest book, Small Space Gardening (Cool Springs Press) will be released in January 2006. She is the winner of the 2003 Garden Globe award for her radio talent, the 1998 Garden Communicator’s Award from the American Nursery & Landscape Association and the 1998 Quill and Trowel Award from the Garden Writer’s Association of American.
