Mary-Kate Mackey
Mary-Kate Mackey is an author and garden writer and an adjunct at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication. She co-authored Sunset Secret Gardens - Best Ideas from the Northwest and San Francisco Flower & Garden Shows (Sunset publishing, 2005) and was also a contributor to Sunset Gardening in the Northwest Sunset (2003). She has written nearly 100 magazine articles in the past six years for publications such as Fine Gardening, Meredith’s Simply Perfect Lawns and Landscapes, Aquascapes, Lifestyles, Northwest Garden News and Sunset. She has been heard on Oregon radio’s KLCC annual garden tour show since 1993, and on KUGN’s “Ask an Expert.” She is a member of the Garden Writers Association, the National Writers Union and the Pacific Northwest Association of Journalism Educators.
