Ed Hume

Ed Hume is a beloved figure in the gardening world both here and across America.  For over 40 years he has been the host of “Gardening in America,” American’s longest running TV gardening show, as well as hosting the Ed Hume Weekend Garden Show.  He is a Certified Professional Horticulturist, garden writer and lecturer. His books include Gardening with Ed Hume, Northwest Gardening Made Easy (Sasquatch, 2003), How to Plant a Bunch of Stuff (Serendipity Press, 1976) and a series of Keep It Simple books, self-published in the early 1970’s.  He is also the Director of the new Hume’s Children/Education Garden, located in Puyallup.  It consists of 15 whimsical and educational garden areas, including the Quiz Garden; Blind Garden; Bird Garden; Flowering Plant area; Drought Garden; Native plant area; Herb Garden; Maze; Crazy Garden and more.
