Christine Allen is the owner of B.C.’s Killara Farm Roses, which specializes in historic and classic roses suitable for growing in the Pacific Northwest.  She is the author of Roses for the Pacific Northwest (Steller Press, 1999), Growing Up: A Gardener’s Guide to Climbing Plants (Steller Press, 2002) and Gardens of Vancouver (Raincoast, 2000).  She is a regular contributor to GardenWise magazine, B.C.’s premier garden magazine.  She is a past president of the Vancouver Rose Society and also serves on the Great Plant Picks Shrubs & Vines committee.
