Dr. Arthur Kruckeberg
Dr. Arthur Kruckeberg has been a fixture in the Northwest horticulture scene for over 30 years. He is a founder of the Washington Native Plant Society, and the author of 3 popular regional books: Northwest Native Plants for the Garden, The Natural History of Puget Sound Country and Geology and Plant Life. He is the creator of the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden, and divides his time tending the 4-acre garden in Shoreline and lecturing. He is a University of Washington Professor Emeritus in Biology and has spoken at the NW Flower & Garden Show every year for the past 18 years.
